Brooklyn Coop Renovation

This 3-bedroom apartment in a Brooklyn Heights coop was located at the end of a long, dead-end corridor. The building allowed the owners to annex a portion of this hallway into the apartment. This afforded the apartment direct access to the public roof deck through a new set of patio doors. It also allowed for cross-ventilation, southern exposure, and an inviting, light-filled entrance area. To maintain privacy and modulate the sun, we concealed an automated, roll-down screen within the door head trim.
