I am a sole practitioner Brooklyn architect with 25 years of experience in New York City residential renovations.  I love collaborating with my clients to create living spaces that are thoughtful, functional, and inviting. Whether a gut renovation of a townhouse or brownstone, a rooftop or rear addition, a kitchen renovation, or a new home office, I truly enjoy turning a simple vision into a living reality – and one that exceeds expectations, on budget!  To do this we first discuss your needs and wishes, and how you envision living in your space. Of course, structural and mechanical requirements, building code, zoning, and budgetary constraints are critical factors, but I always try to turn these potential constraints into opportunities that will improve your final product. We will work together to arrive at a design that meets each of your diverse needs, and then I work to develop these ideas into a set of drawings that can be presented to the Department of Buildings (if required), and to contractors for bidding. I help guide you through the bidding process, and in selecting a contractor.  Once permits have been pulled, construction is ready to begin. With close attention to detail, I can assist in navigating the construction process, until work is completed, and you are ready to move into your new home.
